Puddle of Mudd, Ozzy (black sabbath), ACDC, RATT, Saliva, 7dust, korn, just about anything really both old and new. I'm really old compared to most so I remember my first concert was ozzy's ultimate sin tour. I'm also so old that I saw the Rolling Stones, live in Rome.
About Me
Security Engineer by Day. Gamer, Geek, and MMORPG Game Developer by night.
I'm a co-founder/owner for Force of Arms - The Mech MMORPG. I'm one of those jack of all trades, master of none types. I started programming in 7th grade Computer Class, that was in 1982(I think? damn i'm getting old). I was a die-hard chainmail and then D & D nut who played during lunch in middle school. I graduated to AD&D through part of HS and then dropped it abruptly when interest in girls and sports took over.

I've been and lived all over the world, joining the military after HS. I served in a lot of pretty crappy places as well, and was medically retired and am now a disabled vet following a helo accident on a soft touch into a hot LZ in the wonderful country of Liberia. I have always been interested in computers and games since that early age and after leaving the military continued on with it. I love games, especially MMORPG's and one of my 1st and favorites was SWG. Currently, On my FOA work, I built a home offline development server on Ubuntu from scratch and I work on and with the Multiverse middleware platform to create FOA. Lately, I have been adding new maps, models, npc's and quest content into the game world. I use python mostly, but do a little Java coding for the game. I love to read (sci-fi mostly, but I can handle fantasy if its good). I draw for fun and try to get the voices outta my head and onto paper. :P

You know you're a Star Wars Nut when....

Today, about 1/2 and hour ago I was in walmart per usual to pick up cat food for those horrible little familiar's running around here. As you know Halloween just past and wally world has their wonderful little sale on all the junk they couldn't unload during the holiday, at 75% off. Dont blame me Agg for not putting collision on at the mountains. If people want to take a swan dive into the endless see of development who am I to stop them.... :)

There should be a solution to prevent that from happening again, though when i can not say.

wow, that map is a few kilometers....it was only meant for the general area inside the mountain ranges...lol, obviously our world designer didn't turn on collision at the mountain ranges to prevent your little swimming expedition. See thats what I love about development, you never know what the players are gonna do. The shader effects for the ocean are a world setting, but they do roll as you have seen, there will be ocean warfare eventually...that is...if the world is terraformed(discovered by players). The choice will be in your hands though....with some prodding from us... ;)

Hey, I logged in to the world today and the I was able to run around. I'm not sure if there are supposed to be invisible walls outside of that little city, but I was able to run up the mountains in the distance and I fell in the ocean. Once I was underwater I ran for about 30 minutes in a straight line and didn't find anything else but water. The water effects are really cool, I like how the waves roll and it's almost spooky to be under there. I was also able to look a bit under the crust of the planet and saw some really interesting textures. I'm hoping we can drill a bit into the crust and extract some ore! Great job on everything so far :]

Hey all, back again thought I'd say Hi and wanted to let everyone know that we updated our content over at Force of Arms. We have migrated to a new web server so no more versioning of the main page.
