I dont know about you, but I like getting more gamescore. I find it fun trying to get the achievments. On the other hand, I do not like people that whore weapons or take the fun away from the game to get them.
What is your opinion on gamescore and achievments?
I like having the special goals to strive for, but I don't care what my score is. For me, it's more about private satisfaction than bragging rights or anything like that.
Well, I think it may be the point. You don't gain anything for acquiring a certain number of achievement points except the number next to your Gamertag.
The gamerscore adds an element of surprise. During long missions that seemt o drag on forever it is nice to see you unlocked an acheivement especially if you weren't expecting it. It gives you that push to keep going. Also it gives a game replay value. I would have played Bioshock one time through if it wasn't for acheivements. I played the first time for the story and the second to get acheivements. I gives you a small sense of accomplishment that you can take with you long after you are done playing the game.
