Highs of 2007, New graphics, General 0.0 politics and everybody against BoB war. Awesome entertainment all round.

Lows, boot.ini, how the fuck didn't they catch it. Threadnought, people getting a bit peeved and forgetting it's a game.

For 2008, factional warfare, pretty please?

Highpoints:
Linux client!!! Sexy graphics, and performance! Never had 100+ fps before Trinity.

Lowpoints:
BOB locking my old alliance out of their stations. No more EVETV. My RL friend started playing WoW again and thus ditching EVE.

Hopes and dreams:
What Hilmar said about the server performance stuff. Can't remember exactly but he said something about creating one of Europe's biggest super computers. Would be awesome to play without that much lag. I know it's impossible to eliminate ALL lag as noone has control of teh Intarwebz but at least eliminating as much server side lag as possible would be awesome! Especially in fleet battles and Jita!

Highlights of 2007:

At the risk of flamage, Trinity. I find it hard to rule any addition of content to the game as a bad thing. People whined (and continue to whine) about the various new ships, but that happens with every patch. I remember pages upon pages of whines about how terrible the Abaddon was going to be, and how the Myrmidon was going to fail due to its lack of extra drones. The new ships will find their niches. Some already have. Plus, the new graphics are shiny.

Low point of 2007:

Polarization of the game, and the no-win choice. Frankly, I want BoB and Goons to both go down in flames, but until one or the other fails, we're stuck with a polarized universe, and trying to hurt one indirectly aids the other.

Hopes for 2008:

Factional warfare. While it could be a game-breaker if not done properly, I have faith. It could just as easily be supremely awesome, and a way for all us closet RPers to don our robes and wands.

i think trinity was definitely the highlight of this year from ccp. (hoping fan fest for me next year too :P)

i just love the new graphics.. and i'm hoping that will also change the rest such as effects, space, planets, roids, etc etc..

the low point was the titan nerf i think
personally i think titans need to be feared, while currently they are just another ship that can be easily neutralised given the right amount of blob.. a bit too eaaily, if you ask me. they used to be invincible, now they are like a big brontosaurus.

lol i dont fly one, but it's such a pity that those massive behemoth are not that used in current times and every time they are used, well they die, or get real close..

another high point of this year is funnily enough your podcast. you guys got me addicted..and almost religiouly check your site almost every second day.. hoping...

another hope, as you say.. it's the lag fix.. after that thou.. no more excuses lol

Dropping in late but I should be able to contribute:

Highs: Kicking our nightmare pain in the ass smacking fool neighbours out of pure blind.

Lows: Getting burned out and suspending my sub for a while

Looking forward to: Getting back when the money situation is better to find HAC V finished.
