Good podcast for newbs

I was in the same boat as you a few months ago, at the time I couldn't find any very newbie friendly podcasts and have yet to see any pop up. What I did was just scour the forums for information and anytime something new came up I would look into it (not as time intensive as it may sound). Also if you have yet to DL it, i would go get evemon. It's a very useful skill training program with a full catalog of skills, items and ships. It's very useful for comparing things you may hear about but haven't seen.

yes and check eve-files.com for eve related cool stuff and read forums on EvE-O; check also http://www.scrapheap-challenge.com/viewforum.php?f=34

The only EvE podcast i know of is Warp Drive Active. They are a part of the virginworlds conglomerate. Other than that i really dont knwo of any that are still going. I know that there were alot of them but i dunno what happened to them. The best way to learn is to join a player corporation. My in game name is Venteena and my corp is Mining Bytes Inc. (we are not a industrial corp) and will be happy to welcome you in.

Yeah, we should really do more guides and stuff,

So much to do so little time.

EVE uni was going to do a podcast called "EVE 101" which was going to feature such guides, but I must admit I haven't heard anything more.

I've just been listening to the entire archive of WDA and it's sufficient haha. I am reading all the guides and I also just got my brother to start playing too, so we're gonna play together and learn quicker. We're starting off mining and such and still in our newb corp, but we're pretty addicted!

So podcast-wise, Warp Drive Active is all I have, and it's good. Tell Blinky thanks for the entertainment and info, Urban!

Well, not a podcast, but is a video cast done by a couple players. Check out http://evecast.tv/

The tips are more oriented towards higher-SP characters, but it might also give you some ideas on what you want to skill up for.

Warp Drive Active is about the only Eve Podcast around still I belive, I had lissed to a few other epps of some others but they were so so bad.. WDA follows a bit of a format covering ingame news, some features, etc. You should start back a few epps as they had two epps with interviews with CCP People at Fan Fest.

I've been working with the dynamic duo of WDA to do more guides and stuff in upcoming episodes. What are you after? I try to cover some guide material in my articles at EVE-Tribune, and most recently on my new blog, but I admit that the blog is mostly for pontification.
