This is a lot better and a big step in the right direction.
Now that you've got a much better blogs page. I'd like to see a 'main page' make a return in a more open manner, as it'd be nice to still have that 'hub' to go to.
Just make it entirely social. Recent activity feed, forum posts (which will give the forums a boost), featured blogs/bloggers, chat, friends list, pictures. Stuff like that.

Now that you've offloaded the blogs page from the main page you can use that space to make some of the more forgotten features worthwhile. I've noticed that in my experience that if a new feature that isn't crucial is put on a tab in the corner, it dies. Shoving it in people's faces is the only real way to go for it to get attention.

Either way, well done so far.

I cant find me the "X commented on..." how do I know who's contributing? Sure, the emails, but that eats up my inbox faster then BadPanda eats kababs...

I do really like the new GAX 2.0 and think its great
Although contest wise I do think it's a bit unfair that she won because she uber broke the rules and made all this new sexy shit. Again don't get my wrong I love the new look and she deserving of the prize I just think its a bit unfair because my banner had no chance against the sexiness of 2.0.

GAX 2.0 ROCKS!!!.. its going to get time to get used to it (peopple resist to change by nature) but as Braden said.. it's sexy.... Mad props to Firebetty.

Wow, this new GAX is super cool lookin. Great work Firebetty!(I think this new skin should help with the %88 of people who visit the site leave right away, it's less dark and the "I'm a gamer" thing is awesome, what would be really cool is if it cycled through random GAXers like a flash animation or something.)
