Warhammer Beta Diary: Back in June...

Yeah I know, I got a late start on my Beta Diary that I am just now publishing so that everyone can read. I am writing this post on June 16th as the next phase heats up. I feel a little like someone that found a bottle washed up on a remote beach with several days worth of a diary written on a parchment tucked inside. I can now tell the world my story, or at least the 20-30 of you that actually read my blog. So over the next few days I will post things that I wrote a while back.

So in all reality I was accepted into the Warhammer Online Beta on February 6th, 2008. I managed to play a Battle Priest until level 13 then was not able to beta test for about 2 months after that. I came back and my character was deleted and had to start over once more. I made another Battle Priest for the next phase and got to level 7, but he too was then deleted. So finally ANOTHER phase started around June 12th 2008 and I made several different classes since I was sick of playing the same class and having him wiped out. I had also done the Empire starting area to death and was sick of it.

I played all weekend and this was during the time I made this post back earlier in the year.

So what class was I to make this phase? Here is the official announcement of what was going down in this phase of the beta test (known then as PHASE FOUR):

A cold wind blows from the north as the Hordes of Chaos bring a cloud of doubt and darkness over the Empire and their winds of deceit plunge the hearts of many into despair... The Raven Host seeks to burn and pillage all that was once fair in the lands of the Empire. Will the Order of The Griffon be able to stave off Tchar'Zanek's onslaught, or will their flame of light be extinguished forever? WAAAGH and well met! The new Beta phase has now begun with the opening of Empire vs. Chaos Tiers 1&2. All characters have been wiped and new ones will now start in the Empire or Chaos starting areas.

This phase EVERY race was in there and all crammed into either the Empire starting area if you went Order, or the Chaos starting area if you went Destruction.

As usual I set about making my usual Battle Priest but quickly lost interest in leveling through those quests again. I played a Witch Hunter untill Rank (or level) 6. Then I got sick of the Order quests and decided to do something different. Over to the Destruction side I went and rolled a Dark Elf Witch Elf. I will have to save actually leveling her up until Monday night.
