You know when something is playing on your mind so much and you can't make a decision and then when you finally do it feels great?
That's exactly how I feel right now!
So for those of you who haven't listened to the latest
TabulaCast it was in fact the last episode of a truly amazing podcast journey.
My work with Shawn and Matt on that podcast and on
Tabula Blogger which is blogfading, opened up some amazing doors and gave me some fantastic opportunities.
I made great friends of both Shawn, Matt and people met in game. Had the opportunity to go to the
Omega Sektor and also made contacts/friends at NCSoft with the likes of Tia (thank you so much Tia),
Rockjaw, Critters and Co.
Interviews with Tom Potter lead designer and Dane Caruthers are all awesome memories.
On my birthday,
Tia spawned bad guys in game for me and the clan in the main base and we had an awesome time, not many people can say they had that kind of experience.
The icing on the cake was an invite up to
NCSoft Europe in Brighton to meet the team and chat about all sorts of stuff.
I really think ending the series with a retrospective view of all the good times was a great way to finish the podcast and I am happy we didn't disappear in a 'Puff of Emo smoke' to quote another podcaster ;)
Thanks to everyone on GAX that supported us and thanks to Gary for featuring Tabula Blogger for so long.
I still love this game and look forward to the updates and great contact coming, I really made my choices because I want to focus on my new project which is a podcast to be part of the
Virgin Worlds Collective called 'Limited Edition' joining me at the helm again will be Matt and we will be talking about comicbook game news such as City of Heroes, DC Universe Online and Champions, console games and pc games in the same vein and of course comicbooks and there movie counterparts.
As its a big part of my life (comic books) it will be very natural to slot this project in as I already read a ton of comics/novels play the hero games and heroclix. Part of the thing with Tabula Rasa is that whilst its great to talk about, its effectivly only one topic and that can become restrictive hence this new project.
I was thinking about starting up another dual identity such as Tabula Blogger, but I'm thinking it will stay as a part of my personal blog and I'll form a group for it once we are up and running.
Thanks for listening/downloading/reading all my junk over the last year.
John
