The Internet Chronicles #1

Hello and welcome to another wonderful entry in my blog - which is pretty much just a collection of all my internet findings.

In an attempt to be a tad more organized or scheduled... or ... idk; I'm going to post every Friday morning on my internet discoveries for the week. Along with these discoveries, I will post some small tid-bit of gaming goodness and/or movie-going suggestions - 'cause that's what I wanna do.

This week I've used StumbleUpon for most of my findings, which probably means you've already seen or heard of it. Ok, enough of that shit - let's go!

1. Some fun games to waste your time!
Boomstick - A fun, simple game where you run around and shotgun the crap out of flying shapes. Killing shapes rewards ammo and power-ups. Mmm, shotguns.
haXe - A nice, little physics demo. Press 1-9 to bring up different set-ups and click anywhere on-screen to send a projectile.
Winterbells - Simple yet addicting. Jump your bunny into a bell which then propels your bunny higher. Keep bouncing into bells to gain points, miss a bell and it's game over.
Reaction Effect - I remember playing this awhile back, but it's still addicting. Just click a square on the board to rotate it. This will start a chain reaction of swirling pieces - pretty trippy :p
Sheep Dash - This game is all about reaction time. Grab a Red Bull, Monster, and Amp, throw 'em in a blender with some cocaine and let the clicking commence!

2. Cool D.I.Y. projects to show to your friends... or use against them >:]
Money Origami - Do something better with $1 than buying a Stack Attack (although, they are quite delicious). Make 100 shirts and save em for a rainy day.
Shrink Plastic - #6 plastic is used in those take-out clam containers - now go make something!!!
Paper Airplane Designs - I'm pretty sure we could all use a little more sun. Make a paper airplane and go get some!
Tech Pranks - This was a pretty interesting read. I'll be using a few of these pranks together to trick my brother into thinking someone hacked his computer and is about to delete his level 70 Shaman >:] I'll be setting up some cameras around the room to record his reaction.

3. LOL... or at least try to.
Funny Exam Answers - You've prolly seen them all before, but have you seen them all in one place?
Trapped in the Drive Thru - An 11 minute animation to the lyrical goodness of Weird Al.
It's A Wonderful Internet - Although it may be holiday themed, this is still a good watch.
DrawerGeeks - Collection of some pretty sweet art. Cavemen, Thor, and Bigfoot - Oh, my!

4. WTF... seriously, WTFuck?!?!
The Oculus - I spent 2 minutes with this thing, then I thought the girl from the Ring was going to pop out of my shit so I ran for my life.
A Woman, from Inside-> Out - Some amazing artwork here. Sorta creepy to watch at first but overall, A+
The Size of our World - If you haven't seen these pics then I suggest you do. Those larger stars make me wet my pants :[

5. My Pick Of The Week!!!
Legend of Neil - Amazing parody of The Legend of Zelda. Each episode is 4-5 minutes long and is filled with epic goodness. New episodes every Thursday!

Try these games
If you haven't tried these games out, I recommend you do ASAP.
1. Braid - Worth the money.
2. BoomBlox - I hate EA, but if you have a Wii you should rent this game.

Movies anyone?
1. Pineapple Express - See this shit, thrice! If you enjoy smoking trees, see it a fourth time :] Nothing after the credits.
2. Tropic Thunder - Decent flick; has some good action sequences. Tom Cruise is a total asshole and it's quite funny. I'd say if you haven't seen Step Brother's yet, see that first. Awesome dance sequence heading into credits.
3. Step Brothers - I really enjoyed this. Not as good as P.E. in my eyes, but it does provide you with enough laughs. Stay for the first scene in the credits, don't bother with the scene after the credits.
4. Swing Vote - I watched the first half of this and hope to see the second soon. It was entertaining but I hear a lot of negativity about the ending.
5. Mummy 3 - If you enjoyed the first one, and even the second... don't see this one. Epic fail. Nothing after the credits.
