We're pleased to announce a brand new contest for players of The Lord of the Rings Online; the LOTRO "Design a Horse Contest"!
LOTRO fans, it's time to show us your artistic and creative skills: we're giving you the opportunity to submit your very own design for a horse which could be taken and implemented into the game as a player mount in a future content update.
Below you can find the design template to use when creating your unique design. Please note, you only need to complete the side on view to complete a successful entry, the top-down and front views are there for additional details if you wish to provide them.
The areas of customisation on the mount include:
- Horse's colour and marking
- Horse blanket pattern and colour
- Horse saddle

In addition to having your horse design immortalised into the live game, the winning entry will also receive a Codemasters goodie bag, a unique forum avatar and forum title. Two runners up will also be awarded the Codemasters goodie bags and forum prizes.

RULES:
- To enter the LOTRO "Design a Horse" contest send your entry via email to
lotrocompetition@codemasters.com with the subject line “LOTRO Design A Horse Competition”.
- Entries should include the following to be deemed a valid entry:
• The attached horse design in .bmp / .jpeg format
• Entrant's real name
• E-mail address
• Primary character and/or forum name (if any) and desired name(s) to credit (i.e., real name, player name or forum name).
Entries that are not sent in containing all of the above details will be discarded and marked as void.
- The contest is open to registered players who are legal European residents aged 18 or older at the time of entry with an active LOTRO game account in good standing.
- All entries must be original and created and/or owned exclusively by the player submitting the design.
- Entries are limited to one submission per person.
- The contest will run from 16.00 (GMT+1) Monday 6th July, 2009 until 11.59AM (GMT+1) Tuesday 28th July, 2009. The winning entry will be selected on Tuesday 18th August, 2009 and announced on the official forums and website.
